This page is for members of Resonance Lounge, the app and the website run by narayana games UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Inning am Ammersee, Germany. It says how to delete your account and the personal data that goes with it, how to delete some data without deleting the account, and exactly what we keep and for how long. The Privacy Policy is the full description of what we process; this page is the how-to.
1. Delete your account and your personal data
1.1 In the app: open the Identity tab, then Your account, scroll to the end and choose Delete your account. You confirm with your password and, if you have switched two-factor authentication on, with a code. An account that has no email and password yet has no Your account: on the device that created it, open the Identity tab and choose Delete your account above Log out; that device is the confirmation. The deletion runs at once.
1.2 On the website: sign in at Manage your account, Personal data, Delete and confirm with your password. This is the same deletion as in the app.
1.3 By email: if you cannot sign in any more, write to [email protected] from the address on your account, or with enough detail for us to find it (the nickname, roughly when you joined). We delete within 30 days and confirm by mail. We may ask you to prove it is your account before we delete it, because deleting somebody else's account on request would be the worse outcome.
1.4 What is deleted, in one operation and on every surface (app, website, desktop app, and the game clients once they exist):
(a) your login: email address, password hash, two-factor secrets, phone number, recovery codes, external logins (Google, Apple, Steam, Microsoft, Facebook, X, Spotify);
(b) your player and every identity you presented, with their names, pictures, bios, skills and interests, and your account settings;
(c) your connections, encounters, meeting requests, presence and proximity records, resonance scores, introductions, invite links and codes, notifications, and your memberships, roles, interest and attendance in circles and events;
(d) your side of every conversation: your participation, your devices, your preferences; and the push tokens of your devices, on our servers and at our chat provider (Stream), whose record of you is reduced to an anonymous placeholder;
(e) your date of birth, country, birth time and place, and every reading computed from them; your identity verification evidence (legal name, document data, face-match result), which is blanked immediately rather than waiting for its retention period;
(f) your sessions and app usage records, your game player record, and your bond value.
1.5 What is kept, and why. We keep as little as we can, and never your name or address where we keep anything:
(a) Shared content keeps its shape, your name comes off it. A conversation record (transcript, summary, recording) belongs to everyone who took part and is deleted only when every participant agrees (see 2.5); your lines stay, attributed to a deleted member. Chat messages you sent stay in the chats of the people you sent them to, from a deleted member. Terms you created in the shared vocabulary of skills and interests stay. Circles you owned pass to another member; a circle nobody else is in is removed.
(b) Decisions you made as an organizer or moderator stand. Roles you granted, members you muted or banned in your circles, reports you reviewed: the decision stays, with the record of who made it blanked.
(c) Reports and suspensions. Reports filed about you and suspensions or circle bans against your account stay, keyed only by an internal id that no longer resolves to anybody. A ban that vanished with the account would make deletion a way around it. Kept for up to 5 years. A report you filed about somebody else stays as evidence about them, with you removed as the reporter.
(d) Subscription and payment records. The record of what was bought, when, through which store or payment provider, keyed by the same internal id, for 10 years (German commercial and tax law, HGB and AO). Card details were never ours; Stripe, Apple and Google hold them under their own policies. A Stripe subscription is cancelled with the account; an App Store or Google Play subscription has to be cancelled by you in that store, which the app tells you at the moment of deletion.
(e) The call cost ledger of the current month (minutes and cost per call, no content), keyed by the internal id, because it feeds a shared pool; it ages out with the month.
(f) The install record and the access log: which devices the account was used from (model, OS, app version, a per-device id), and the IP address, country and user agent of each registration, launch, login and sign-out, for abuse review and fraud prevention, for up to 365 days from each entry, then removed by a scheduled sweep.
(g) Backups. Deleted data remains in encrypted database backups until they age out: the account database keeps seven daily backups and a seven-day point-in-time log, so about one week; the game database follows MongoDB Atlas's backup schedule. A backup is never restored into the live service except to recover from a failure, in which case the deletion is repeated.
(h) The log line that says a deletion happened, with the internal ids and the counts.
1.6 It cannot be undone. There is no recovery of a deleted account; a new account starts from nothing.
2. Delete some data without deleting your account
2.1 Profile picture: in the app, open the identity and remove its picture. The picture bytes are deleted from our servers at once; the identity shows initials instead.
2.2 Location: switch off Around you (presence) in the app. The one row holding your latest coarse area is deleted; we never keep a history. The exact coordinates of a meeting request are deleted the moment the request ends, declines or expires, on their own.
2.3 Phone number: in Your account, Remove number. While the phone is a second factor, turn that off first.
2.4 An identity: in the app, open the identity and delete it. Its name, picture, bio and the skills and interests attached to it go. Your last identity, and a verified identity, go only with the whole account.
2.5 A conversation's transcript and recording: in the conversation, ask for deletion. The record is deleted once every participant has agreed, because it is as much theirs as yours, and we say in the conversation who has agreed so far.
2.6 Date of birth, country, birth time and place: in Your account, clear the field. Readings computed from them are removed with them.
2.7 External logins can be removed under External logins on the website, as long as another way to sign in remains.
2.8 Anything else: write to [email protected]. The right of erasure under Article 17 GDPR applies to everything above and to anything this page forgot.
3. Take your data with you
3.1 On the website, Personal data offers a download of your account data as JSON. Conversation records can be shared from the conversation itself in the app.
